テクノシーンのパイオニア、ハードテクノを確立した第一人者、シーンの絶対王者、そんな言葉が間違いなくふさわしいキングオブテクノ、Chris Liebingが5月19日に満を持してVENTに登場する！
Adam Beyer、Ben Klock、Marcel Dettmann、Anthony Parasole、Carl Craig、Rødhåd、Peter Van Hoesen、Function、DVS1、Scubaといった現代のシーンを彩るトップアーティストすべてがこぞってChrisの運営するPodcastにミックスを提供していることを見れば、彼がいかに影響力のある存在かわかるだろう。
90年にはDJをスタートし、まもなく30年のキャリアとなるテクノシーンの先駆者、Chris Liebing。94年には自身で運営するクラブSpinclubをオープンし、仲間とともにSoap Recordsレーベルを立ち上げるなど、文字通りにこの音楽シーンをカルチャーとして切り開き先導してきた開拓者だ。ドイツでは国民的な人気を誇るこのベテランがいなければ、いまのヨーロッパのテクノシーンはここまで大きくなっていなかったかもしれない。
常に時代の先を行く探求者でもあり、彼の代名詞でもあるハードテクノを確立し、さらにはテクノロジーの進化とともにサウンドスタイルを常に前進させてきた。インターネットの可能性をいち早く見出し、2000年には新たな自分のレーベルCLRのWebサイトにてPodcastを配信し30万ものユーザーを獲得していたというから、彼のアンテナの感度の高さが窺い知れるだろう。
自分の名前の頭文字でもあったCLRは2010年に10周年を迎えてから、”CREATE LEARN REALIZE”と名前を変更。エゴを捨てて自分のモットーでもある『創造、学び、悟る』をキーワードに、若手のサポートにも力を入れてきた。今なお世界中のファンを熱狂させる、いつでも流行の一歩先を進み、独創的でフィジカルなスタイルをVENTで直に体験しない手はあるだろうか？

Pioneer of techno scene, the founder of hard techno, and an absolute champion of the scene. The perfect figure for this description, king of techno Chris Liebing will appear at VENT on May 19th.
By seeing numerous top artists such as Adam Beyer, Ben Kloc, Marcel Dettmann, Anthony Parasole, Carl Craig, Rødhåd, Peter Van Hoesen, Function, DVS1, and Scuba providing their tracks to Chris’s Podcast, you can easily see how influential he is.
In the 90s, he started his DJ career and he has been a pioneer for almost three decades. In 1994, he opened his club “Spinclub” and started his label “Soap Records” with his friends. Without him, German techno scene would be different as we are seeing now.
With his eyes for the future, he quickly incorporated technology into his production and started Podcast on his label CLR website in 2000. The podcast attracts 300,000 people every month. His pronoun “hard techno” is now steadily established.
In 2010, year of the 10th anniversary for his label CRL, he officially renamed CLR into CREATE LEARN REALIZE (as this is what he did most of his life) and by doing so he finally got rid of his ego in the label name and put more support into young producers. Come witness this techno figure at VENT!
